This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate Physics specialist to teach A Level alongside KS3 and KS4, within a forward-thinking and academically driven environment.

This Client is a well-regarded secondary school that has been recognised in its most recent Ofsted inspection for its strong leadership, high expectations, and consistently improving academic outcomes. Inspectors praised the school's culture of ambition, effective teaching, and the positive attitudes to learning demonstrated by students across the school. The report also highlighted the school's commitment to science and mathematics, with strong progression routes into A Level study.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging Physics lessons at A Level, as well as teaching Science across Key Stages 3 and 4 where required. You will be expected to plan and deliver high-quality lessons that develop students' scientific understanding, practical skills, and exam technique, while also contributing to curriculum development and enrichment opportunities within the science department.

Job role requirements include teaching Physics up to A Level, strong subject knowledge across the science curriculum, the ability to deliver engaging and rigorous lessons, effective classroom and behaviour management, and the ability to inspire students to achieve high academic standards. You will also be expected to track and monitor student progress, support intervention strategies, and contribute to the wider science faculty.

The ideal candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, a relevant degree in Physics or a closely related subject, and experience teaching Physics at secondary level, ideally including A Level. A strong understanding of exam specifications such as AQA or OCR is highly desirable. The successful teacher will be analytical, enthusiastic, and committed to raising attainment in Science, with the ability to build strong relationships with students and colleagues. ECTs with strong Physics specialism and placement experience are also encouraged to apply.

This Client offers a supportive and well-resourced Science department, modern laboratories, and a strong culture of professional development.
