SEMH Teaching Assistant Required - Clacton-on-Sea, Essex

We are currently working with a supportive and inclusive school in Clacton-on-Sea seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their team.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and helping pupils build confidence, resilience, and positive relationships within education.

  • SEMH needs

  • Autism

  • ADHD

  • Speech and Language needs

  • Dyslexia

  • Sensory processing difficulties

No two days are ever the same in this role. You could be supporting emotional regulation, helping pupils engage in learning, providing 1:1 support, or encouraging children to achieve goals they once thought were out of reach.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be calm, patient, and resilient

  • Build strong and positive relationships with pupils

  • Have experience working with children with additional needs

  • Be confident supporting behaviour and emotional wellbeing

  • Bring a positive, proactive, and nurturing approach to the classroom

In return, you'll join a welcoming school where staff work together to create a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for every child.

If you're passionate about making a genuine difference and want to be part of a rewarding school environment, we would love to hear from you.
