About the role

Tradewind Recruitment is working with welcoming, well-resourced primary schools across Barnet to find experienced Level 3 Early Years Educators for immediate and ongoing placements in Nursery and Reception settings. Roles are available on a full-time or part-time basis.

As a Level 3 Early Years Educator, you will plan and deliver stimulating, play-based learning experiences in line with the EYFS statutory framework, supporting children's development across all seven areas of learning. You will take a lead role within the room, working alongside other practitioners and the class teacher to create a safe, nurturing and language-rich environment where every child can thrive.

You will carry out observations and assessments using Development Matters, contribute to children's learning journeys, liaise with parents and carers and support the identification and inclusion of children with SEND and EAL needs under the guidance of the SENCO.

What we are looking for

  • Solid hands-on experience working in an EYFS setting, ideally Nursery or Reception
  • Strong working knowledge of the EYFS statutory framework and Development Matters
  • Confident in planning and delivering play-based, child-led learning across all seven areas
  • Skilled in early years observation and assessment, including learning journeys and progress tracking
  • Experience supporting children with SEND and EAL in an early years context
  • Warm, patient and professional with excellent communication skills for working with children, families and colleagues
  • Up-to-date safeguarding and child protection knowledge
