SEN Teaching Assistant Roles Across London

SEND | SEMH | PRU | Specialist Schools

We are currently working with a range of SEN, SEMH, PRU and specialist schools across London who are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to join their teams.

Roles are available on a full-time, part-time, and flexible agency basis, offering variety and the chance to work in supportive and rewarding environments.

Locations

Opportunities available across all London boroughs including North, South, East and West London.

  • SEN schools (ASC, MLD, SLD, PMLD)
  • SEMH provisions
  • PRUs (Pupil Referral Units)
  • Alternative provisions
  • Specialist education centres

The Role

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils with a range of needs including ASC, ADHD, SEMH and trauma-related difficulties
  • Work 1:1 or in small groups to support learning and engagement
  • Assist the class teacher with planning and delivering tailored activities
  • Use behaviour support and de-escalation strategies where needed
  • Help create a safe, structured and positive learning environment
  • Encourage independence, confidence and social development

What We're Looking For

  • Experience working with children or young people (SEN experience preferred)
  • A calm, patient and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
  • Relevant TA qualifications are beneficial but not essential
