SEN Teacher (Primary Special School) - Harrow Area

Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-established local authority special primary school in the Harrow area to recruit an experienced and passionate SEN Teacher to join their dedicated team.

This welcoming and highly supportive setting caters for pupils aged 4-11 with a wide range of complex special educational needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and additional sensory, medical, and physical needs.

The Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver highly differentiated, engaging lessons tailored to individual EHCP targets
  • Work closely with skilled Teaching Assistants and multi-disciplinary therapists
  • Create a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment
  • Support pupils' communication, independence, and life skills development
  • Use a range of specialist approaches including visual supports, sensory learning, and communication systems

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent SEN teaching experience
  • Has experience working within a special school or with pupils with complex needs
  • Demonstrates patience, creativity, and a child-centred approach
  • Is confident working collaboratively with therapists and support staff
  • Is committed to inclusive education and making a meaningful impact
