Long-Term Cover Supervisor - Secondary School - Rotherham
Are you confident, adaptable, and passionate about supporting young people in their education? We are seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming secondary school in Rotherham on a full-time, long-term basis from September.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates considering a career in teaching, experienced Cover Supervisors, or individuals with experience working with young people in an educational or youth setting.
The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
- Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher.
- Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Ensure students remain engaged and complete the work set.
- Support students across a range of subjects and year groups.
- Follow the school's behaviour and safeguarding policies at all times.
- Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and classroom engagement.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have experience working with secondary-aged students (school-based experience is desirable but not essential).
- Be confident managing classroom behaviour.
- Possess excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Be flexible, reliable, and able to adapt to different subjects and classrooms.
- Hold a positive, proactive attitude and a genuine interest in education.
- Have an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
