A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and committed Year 1 (KS1) Teacher to join a well-respected primary school in Watford from 1st September 2026.

Our client is looking to secure an excellent teacher as soon as possible and is already arranging immediate trial days for suitable candidates with an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service. Successful applicants could be visiting the school and meeting the team within days of applying.

About the Role

This is a full-time, 12-month maternity cover position within a welcoming and well-established primary school known for its supportive leadership, excellent resources and commitment to delivering high-quality teaching.

You will lead a Year 1 class, supported by both a dedicated Teaching Assistant and 1:1 Learning Support Assistant, delivering engaging and creative lessons that encourage pupils to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

Working alongside an experienced Key Stage 1 team, you will play an important role in ensuring every child receives an outstanding learning experience.

We're Looking For

Applications are welcomed from teachers who have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Recent experience teaching Year 1 or Key Stage 1
• A creative and engaging approach to classroom teaching
• Experience supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including SEND
• High expectations of behaviour, achievement and pupil wellbeing
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• The enthusiasm and commitment to make an immediate positive impact
