Primary Supply Teacher - Islington

Tradewind Recruitment is partnering with a number of friendly and well-established primary schools in Islington who are looking to appoint reliable Supply Teachers throughout the academic year. Whether you're interested in day-to-day assignments, short-term cover, or longer-term placements, we'll match you with opportunities that suit your experience and availability.

This role is ideal for experienced teachers as well as Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to broaden their experience across a range of school environments while enjoying the flexibility that supply teaching offers.

The Role

As a Primary Supply Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.

  • Create a positive, inclusive learning environment where pupils can thrive.

  • Follow lesson plans and ensure learning continues seamlessly in the teacher's absence.

  • Adapt confidently to different schools, classes and teaching styles.

  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies.

  • Build positive relationships with pupils and school staff.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • Recent teaching experience within UK primary schools.

  • Strong behaviour management and classroom organisation skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • A flexible, proactive and dependable approach to teaching.

  • A passion for delivering high-quality education.

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one.
