SEMH Teaching Assistant - Bedford | September Start

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a number of supportive schools across Bedford to recruit dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistants for September starts. If you're passionate about supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, this is your opportunity to make a real difference every day.
This rewarding role is ideal for experienced Teaching Assistants, youth workers, support workers, sports coaches or graduates looking to build a career in education.
The role:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs
- Build positive relationships that encourage confidence and engagement
- Support pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
- Work alongside teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams
- Help create a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with children or young people with additional needs or challenging behaviour
- Is patient, resilient and able to remain calm under pressure
- Can build trust and establish positive relationships with pupils
- Is proactive, reliable and committed to supporting every child's progress
- Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one
