Are you a passionate and dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant looking for flexible work across South Birmingham primary schools?
Tradewind Recruitment is seeking caring and proactive SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech & Language Difficulties, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We work with a variety of welcoming primary schools that require both short-term and long-term supply support.
The Role
- Supporting children with special educational needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
- Helping pupils to access learning and achieve their individual targets
- Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Supporting personal care where required
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience working with children with SEN in a school, nursery, care, or support setting
- A patient, nurturing, and positive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
