Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work across a range of welcoming and supportive schools in the Milton Keynes area.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and school staff to support pupils both academically and pastorally. Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.

• Assisting teachers with classroom activities and lesson preparation.

• Helping pupils engage positively with their learning.

• Supporting children with additional learning needs and SEN where required.

• Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence and independence.

• Providing additional support to pupils who may need help accessing the curriculum.

• Helping to create a safe, inclusive and engaging classroom environment.

• Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils.

• Working collaboratively with teachers and other members of the school team.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for candidates who are:

• Passionate about working with children and young people.

• Caring, patient and approachable.

• Confident communicating with pupils and staff.

• Adaptable and able to work effectively as part of a team.

• Proactive and enthusiastic about supporting pupils' development.

• Experienced working with children, young people or vulnerable individuals - although this is not essential.

• Ideally experienced within a school, childcare, youth work, care or support setting.

Relevant qualifications are welcomed but not essential, as we are also happy to consider candidates with strong transferable experience and the right attitude.
