Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools in the Milton Keynes area.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Cover Supervisors, Teaching Assistants, graduates and education professionals looking to develop their classroom experience.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes in the absence of their usual teacher and ensuring pupils remain engaged and focused on their learning.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising whole classes across a range of subjects.

• Delivering pre-prepared lesson materials and ensuring pupils complete the work provided.

• Maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment.

• Managing behaviour in line with the school's policies and expectations.

• Supporting pupils with their learning where appropriate.

• Registering pupils and ensuring accurate attendance records.

• Providing feedback to teaching staff regarding lessons and pupil engagement.

• Building positive relationships with pupils and school staff.

• Ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed at all times.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for candidates who are:

• Confident managing groups of secondary-aged pupils.

• Calm, approachable and able to build positive relationships.

• Strong communicators with good organisational skills.

• Reliable, flexible and able to adapt to different school environments.

• Confident maintaining classroom expectations and managing behaviour.

• Passionate about supporting young people and their education.

• Previous experience working in a school or with young people is desirable but not essential.

Graduates who are considering a career in teaching are particularly encouraged to apply, as this role can provide excellent classroom experience.
