The Role

As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring lessons that encourage pupils to develop their scientific knowledge, curiosity and confidence.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

  • Teaching Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics depending on your experience and specialism.

  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

  • Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities.

  • Assessing and monitoring pupil progress.

  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively and consistently.

  • Encouraging pupils to develop a genuine interest in Science.

  • Working collaboratively with colleagues within the Science department.

  • Contributing to the wider life of the school.

  • Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, achievement and progress.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a Science Teacher who is:

  • Passionate about Science and committed to helping pupils achieve their potential.

  • Able to deliver engaging and well-structured lessons.

  • Confident teaching across the secondary age range.

  • Able to build positive relationships with pupils.

  • Strong in classroom and behaviour management.

  • Organised, reliable and adaptable.

  • A qualified teacher or currently working towards QTS/appropriate teaching status.

  • An ECT or experienced teacher looking for a new opportunity.
