Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a number of secondary schools across Milton Keynes who are looking for enthusiastic and dependable Cover Supervisors to join their teams on a full-time basis.

With ASAP starts available, these positions offer an excellent opportunity for individuals who are keen to develop their experience in education, strengthen their classroom management skills, and make a positive impact on students' learning.

The roles would suit graduates, Teaching Assistants, tutors, sports coaches, youth workers, mentors, or aspiring teachers who are confident working with secondary-aged pupils and ready to take on a new challenge.

You will work closely with teaching and support staff, supervising lessons and helping students remain focused, productive, and engaged with their learning.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Cover Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising KS3 and KS4 lessons across a variety of subjects.
• Providing students with pre-set work and ensuring lessons run smoothly.
• Maintaining a positive, calm, and productive classroom atmosphere.
• Managing behaviour confidently and consistently in line with school expectations.
• Encouraging students to complete their work and remain engaged.
• Providing appropriate support to students during lessons.
• Reporting any concerns or incidents to relevant members of staff.
• Developing positive relationships with pupils and school colleagues.
• Supporting general school duties such as break, lunch, and corridor supervision.
• Adapting to different year groups, subjects, and classroom environments.

Experience within a school setting would be beneficial, but is not essential. Experience gained through tutoring, coaching, mentoring, youth work, childcare, or similar roles will also be considered.
