Tradewind Recruitment is looking for an enthusiastic Academic Support Assistant to work within primary schools across Warrington.
This Academic Support Assistant opportunity is centred around helping pupils who need additional encouragement with their learning. You will work alongside classroom teachers to reinforce key skills, provide targeted support and help children make progress.
As an Academic Support Assistant in Warrington, you may be involved in:
- Supporting pupils with literacy and numeracy
- Running small group learning activities
- Working individually with pupils who require additional support
- Helping children stay focused and engaged during lessons
- Reinforcing learning introduced by the class teacher
- Feeding back observations and progress to teaching staff
The role would suit an experienced teaching assistant, learning support assistant, graduate or someone with previous experience working with children.
A background in education, childcare, tutoring, youth work or similar experience would be beneficial, although the most important qualities are patience, reliability and a genuine desire to help children succeed.
