Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant - Wembley
Wembley | Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 8:00am-4:00pm | On-Site Parking
Are you a graduate looking to kick-start your career working with young people? Or an experienced Teaching Assistant ready for your next exciting opportunity?
We're looking for a passionate and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic secondary school in Wembley on a long-term, full-time basis, with the opportunity to become permanent with the school following a successful introduction and placement.
This is a Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm position, offering excellent consistency and the opportunity to become a valued member of the school community.
Why This Role?
You don't necessarily need years of classroom experience to be successful in this role.
If you've worked with teenagers through tutoring, youth work, mentoring, sports clubs, coaching, volunteering, schools or other activities, your experience could be exactly what the school is looking for.
Whether you're a recent graduate looking to start a career in education or an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for your next challenge, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop your experience and make a genuine difference.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting secondary-aged students with their learning and development
- Providing one-to-one and small-group support where required
- Helping students overcome barriers to learning
- Building positive, trusting relationships with students
- Working alongside teachers and the wider support team
- Encouraging students to develop confidence, independence and resilience
- Helping create a positive and inclusive learning environment
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is:
- Positive, enthusiastic and approachable
- Confident working with teenagers
- Patient, resilient and able to remain calm under pressure
- A strong communicator who can build genuine relationships
- Passionate about helping young people succeed
- Reliable and committed to a full-time, Monday-Friday role
- Available to work 8:00am-4:00pm
Previous SEN experience is desirable, but not essential. What matters most is your attitude, your ability to connect with young people and your genuine desire to make a difference.
Location & Opportunity
The school is close to a station and has on-site parking, making it easily accessible whether you drive or use public transport.
This is a long-term opportunity with the potential to become permanent, making it an excellent choice for both graduates looking to build a career in education and experienced TAs seeking their next long-term role.
If you're ready to take the next step and want a role where you can genuinely make a difference, we want to hear from you.
