Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for Teaching Assistants to support students within a SEN school in Northampton. The school supports students with a range of medical, physical and additional needs, with some students also presenting with high-functioning autism.

The Role

• Supporting students with a range of medical and physical needs within the classroom and wider school environment.
• Providing personal care support where required, including toileting and other personal care needs.
• Supporting students with mobility and physical needs, including following appropriate manual handling procedures.
• Assisting students with their learning, engagement and day-to-day development.
• Working closely with teaching staff and other professionals to provide consistent support.

The School

The school provides a supportive environment for students with a variety of SEND needs. The role would suit someone with previous experience in education, healthcare, care work, support work or a similar setting.

Long-term and temp-to-perm opportunities are available, with a variety of working patterns depending on the school's requirements.
