The Role

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 opportunities available.
  • Inspire curiosity and critical thinking about people, places, environments, and global issues.
  • Use creative and innovative teaching approaches to bring topics such as climate change, sustainability, population, development, and urban change to life.
  • Plan, assess, and adapt lessons to support learners of all abilities.
  • Encourage students to develop strong geographical knowledge, enquiry skills, and a genuine interest in the world around them.
  • Contribute to wider school life through enrichment activities, fieldwork opportunities, and departmental initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.

The Ideal Candidate

  • A qualified teacher with QTS/QTLS (or equivalent) and a Geography specialism.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a confident, positive classroom presence.
  • An innovative and reflective approach to teaching and learning.
  • A commitment to inclusion, high expectations, and student progress.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
  • Passionate about inspiring young people and making Geography accessible and engaging.
