We are working in partnership with a supportive primary school in Towcester that is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join their team immediately. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and wants to contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Working closely with the class teacher and wider support team, you will help pupils engage with their learning, develop independence, and overcome barriers to progress.

The Role

  • Support the class teacher with the delivery of engaging lessons and classroom activities

  • Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning

  • Deliver targeted interventions to support pupil progress

  • Assist pupils with their academic, social, and emotional development

  • Adapt support to meet different learning needs, including SEND

  • Help prepare classroom resources and maintain an organised learning environment

  • Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, independence, and resilience

  • Monitor pupil engagement and provide feedback to the class teacher

  • Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents

  • Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom

About You

  • Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent

  • Previous experience working within a primary school or similar educational setting

  • A caring, patient, and encouraging approach to supporting children

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Able to work effectively as part of a wider school team

  • Confident supporting pupils with a range of abilities and learning needs

  • Reliable, adaptable, and enthusiastic

  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
