Reception Teacher - Bolton

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a passionate Early Years Teacher for a primary school in Bolton. The school is looking for someone who can create a nurturing and stimulating environment where young children can develop confidence, independence and a love of learning.

This position would be particularly well suited to a teacher with a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and experience supporting children at the beginning of their formal education.

You will be responsible for leading a Reception class and creating a balance between adult-led teaching, structured activities and opportunities for children to learn through exploration. The successful candidate will understand the importance of communication and language development, early reading, phonics, number and personal development.

Building strong relationships will be central to the role. You will work closely with support staff and families to ensure that children receive consistent encouragement and appropriate support.

As the Reception Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging EYFS learning experiences
  • Support children's personal, social and emotional development
  • Develop early literacy and mathematical understanding
  • Promote communication and language skills
  • Use observation and assessment to identify next steps
  • Create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment
  • Encourage independence and positive behaviour
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents/carers

The school is seeking a teacher who is patient, enthusiastic and genuinely enjoys working with young children. Creativity and the ability to make learning engaging will be highly valued.

Applicants should have:

  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience within Early Years or Reception
  • A sound understanding of the EYFS framework
  • Knowledge of early phonics and early reading
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to establish positive routines and relationships
