The successful candidate will join a supportive department and play an important role in developing students' enjoyment and understanding of music.

The Role:

  • Planning and delivering engaging Music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

  • Teaching both practical and theoretical aspects of music.

  • Supporting students to develop their performance, composition, and listening skills.

  • Monitoring, assessing, and supporting student progress.

  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

  • Encouraging students to participate in musical activities and performances.

  • Contributing to the wider life of the school and Music department.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.

  • Has experience teaching Music within a secondary school setting.

  • Has strong classroom management skills.

  • Is passionate about music and inspiring young people.

  • Can build positive relationships with students and colleagues.

  • Is creative, enthusiastic, and committed to high standards of teaching and learning.
