SEND Teaching Assistant - South Liverpool

Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join several welcoming mainstream primary schools in South Liverpool on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who has previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and wider school team to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs. You will play an important role in helping children engage with their learning, develop their confidence and independence, and make positive progress both academically and socially.

The role:

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday

  • Supporting pupils with SEND within a mainstream primary setting

  • Providing individual and small-group support

  • Working closely with teachers and the wider support team

  • Helping pupils access learning and develop their confidence and independence

The ideal candidate:

  • Has previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND

  • Is patient, nurturing and confident

  • Has a strong understanding of inclusive education

  • Is committed to supporting pupils to achieve their potential
