Year 2 Teacher - (3 Days per week)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and creative Year 2 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school on a 3-day-per-week basis, starting after the October half-term and continuing until the end of the academic year.

The school is a single-form-entry primary which met the expected standards in its most recent Ofsted inspection. It has a friendly and supportive staff team who work collaboratively towards a shared vision of providing the best possible outcomes for every pupil.

About the Role

The successful teacher will take responsibility for a Year 2 class and will be someone who is enthusiastic about the KS1 curriculum, enjoys delivering creative and engaging teaching and learning, and is committed to accelerating pupil progress. The school is looking for a teacher who can build positive relationships with pupils and contribute enthusiastically to the wider school community.

The position is open to strong ECTs as well as more experienced teachers, with support available to help the successful candidate settle quickly into the school.

This is also an excellent opportunity for a teacher looking to secure a future permanent position. The ideal candidate will:

• Hold QTS and have a strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum.
• Be passionate about teaching and learning within Year 2.
• Deliver creative, engaging and well-differentiated lessons.
• Have high expectations and a strong focus on accelerating pupil progress.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and families.
• Work effectively as part of a friendly and collaborative staff team.
• Be available 3 days per week from after October half-term until the end of the academic year.
