A welcoming and supportive primary school in Northampton is seeking a Key Stage 2 Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis, with the opportunity to start as soon as possible or from October half term.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated teacher to join a positive school environment and play an important role in supporting pupils as they develop their knowledge, confidence, independence, and enthusiasm for learning throughout Key Stage 2.

The successful teacher will be expected to deliver engaging, well-structured lessons, create a positive classroom environment, and provide high expectations and effective support to ensure all pupils have the opportunity to achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum

• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment

• Assess and monitor pupil progress, using assessment information to inform planning

• Differentiate lessons and activities to meet the needs of all learners

• Establish and maintain high expectations for behaviour, effort, and achievement

• Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development

• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and the wider school team

• Communicate effectively with parents and carers where appropriate

• Contribute positively to the wider life and development of the school

Ideal Candidate

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

• Previous Key Stage 2 teaching experience is desirable

• Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum

• Confident classroom management skills

• Ability to plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons

• A commitment to achieving positive outcomes for all pupils

• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• Ability to build strong, positive relationships with pupils and colleagues

• Enthusiastic, reliable, and committed approach to teaching
