Tradewind Recruitment are working with a welcoming school in Ipswich who are looking for a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who wants to make a positive contribution to a pupil's school experience, helping them feel supported, included and confident in their learning.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional needs.
• Help pupils access learning and develop their confidence, independence and communication skills.
• Support pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs where required.
• Work closely with the class teacher and wider school team to provide consistent support.
• Help create a calm, positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Support pupils both academically and pastorally throughout the school day.

About You

The school would be interested in hearing from Teaching Assistants who:

• Demonstrate patience, resilience and a genuine commitment to supporting children and young people.
• Have experience working with SEN / SEND, or are keen to develop their experience in this area.
• Can build positive and professional relationships with pupils.
• Can provide calm and consistent support when managing behaviour.
• Work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with teachers and other professionals.
• Demonstrate reliability, professionalism and a commitment to supporting positive outcomes for pupils.

Previous school experience is desirable, although relevant experience supporting children or young people in other settings will also be considered.
