Early Years Lecturer

Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Early Years Lecuter to join a college in Hull, with a start date as soon as possible. This will last until at least Christmas 2026, with the potential of transitioning to a permanent role afterwards depending on how much the successful candidate is enjoying the placement, and providing a fantastic education to Early Years Level 2 and 3 students.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator with a strong background in Early Years to inspire and support the future early years practitioners.

The Role

• Position: Early Years Lecturer
• Location: Hull
• Start date: As soon as possible
• Hours: Full Time - 35 hours per week
• Pay: £20-£35 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications

As an Early Years lecturer, your duties will include:

• Planning and delivering engaging and effective Early Years Lessons
• Teaching students across a range of levels and abilities.
• Preparing students for examinations, assessments and coursework.
• Assessing student work and providing constructive feedback to support achievement and progression.
• Monitoring and recording student progress, attendance and achievement.
• Creating an inclusive, supportive and engaging learning environment.
• Differentiating lessons and learning materials to meet the needs of individual students.
• Supporting students with their academic, personal and professional development.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues and the wider college team.
• Ensuring teaching and learning meets relevant curriculum and awarding-body requirements.

To be considered for this role, candidates will need:

• An up-to-date DBS.
• At least a Level 3 qualification in Early Years or a relevant subject.
• A recognised PGCE or Cert Ed.
• Relevant teaching experience within Further Education or a similar educational setting.
• Strong subject knowledge and excellent communication skills.
• Effective classroom management skills.
• A genuine passion for education and supporting students to achieve their potential.
• Have experience working within schools in the UK
• Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
• CV must cover the full CV History
• Legal right to work in the UK
