SEN Tutor - Year 9 Student

Salford| 1:1 Tuition | Flexible Hours | Immediate Start

Pay: £25-£35 per hour (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a patient, resilient, and engaging SEN Tutor to support a Year 9 student in Salford who is currently disengaged from mainstream education.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference to a young person's educational journey. The student requires tailored 1:1 support to rebuild confidence, re-engage with learning, and work towards academic and personal development goals in a way that meets their individual needs.

The Role

As an SEN Tutor, you will:

• Deliver personalised lessons adapted to the student's ability and interests
• Build a positive and trusting relationship to encourage engagement with learning
• Support academic progress in core subjects
• Develop confidence, motivation, and independence
• Use creative and flexible teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs
• Monitor progress and provide regular feedback

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, autism, or additional needs
• Has previous tutoring, teaching, youth work, or support work experience
• Can engage reluctant learners and adapt their approach when required
• Is patient, empathetic, and able to build strong relationships
• Holds a teaching qualification, tutoring experience, or relevant degree (desirable)
