Teaching Assistant Jobs - St Helens Secondary Schools

Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting Teaching Assistants for a number of secondary schools across St Helens.

Due to high demand from our partner schools, we are looking to speak with experienced Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants and education professionals who are available for work across the St Helens borough.

Opportunities include long-term Teaching Assistant positions, fixed-term assignments and ongoing education support roles, with schools looking for candidates who can make a genuine difference to pupils' learning, progress and wellbeing.

Teaching Assistant Opportunities

Roles may involve:

  • Supporting pupils across KS3 and KS4
  • One-to-one and small-group intervention
  • Supporting pupils with SEND and additional needs
  • Working alongside classroom teachers
  • Reinforcing learning and completing targeted interventions
  • Supporting pupils with behaviour and engagement
  • Developing pupils' confidence and independence
  • Providing pastoral and emotional support
  • Helping pupils access the curriculum

Who We're Looking For

We are particularly interested in candidates with previous experience working with children or young people.

This could include experience as a:

  • Teaching Assistant
  • Learning Support Assistant
  • SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Youth Worker
  • Mentor
  • Sports Coach
  • Tutor
  • Childcare professional
  • Support Worker

Candidates must be able to demonstrate relevant experience working with children or young people.
