Cover Supervisor - Daily Supply

Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Hounslow on a daily supply basis.

This opportunity may suit individuals with experience working with young people in schools, colleges, tutoring environments, sports coaching, youth work or similar settings.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise students during the absence of their usual teacher. You will be provided with lesson materials and will be responsible for ensuring students understand the work set, remain engaged in learning activities and follow the school's behaviour and safeguarding expectations.

The role involves working independently and supporting a range of classes and year groups throughout the school day.

  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to follow school procedures and lesson instructions
  • Effective behaviour management skills
  • Reliability and punctuality
  • The ability to build professional working relationships with students and staff
  • Good organisation and time management skills
  • Flexibility to work across different subjects, year groups and school settings
  • A professional approach to work

Requirements

  • A degree is desirable but not essential
  • Experience working with children or young people is desirable
  • Previous experience in a school or educational setting is advantageous
  • Confidence supporting and supervising groups of secondary-aged students
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • A professional and dependable approach
  • An interest in supporting young people's education and development
  • The ability to work independently and follow school instructions
