Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15am-3:45pm
Pay: £110-£120 per day, dependent on experience, qualifications and suitability for the role

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a primary school in Enfield looking for an experienced Level 3 Early Years practitioner to lead its growing 2-3 year-old Nursery provision on a full-time, fixed-term temporary basis until 31 August 2027.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Early Years practitioner to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the provision, helping to develop a safe, nurturing and engaging environment where young children can learn, develop and thrive.

You'll work alongside the wider Early Years team to deliver high-quality, play-based learning in line with the EYFS statutory framework while supporting children's individual interests, needs and stages of development.

The Role

As Nursery Room Lead, you'll take responsibility for leading the day-to-day provision for children aged 2-3 years.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading the day-to-day 2-3 year-old Nursery provision.
• Planning and delivering high-quality, play-based learning in line with the EYFS.
• Creating an engaging, inclusive and stimulating Early Years environment.
• Supporting children's communication, language, physical, social and emotional development.
• Providing learning opportunities appropriate to children's individual interests and stages of development.
• Helping to establish and develop the growing 2-3 year-old provision.
• Supporting and working collaboratively with the wider Early Years team.
• Maintaining clear routines and high expectations within the provision.
• Supporting children with additional needs where required.
• Monitoring children's development and contributing to appropriate observations and assessments.
• Maintaining effective communication with colleagues and families.
• Following safeguarding and child protection procedures.

Who Should Apply?

The school is looking for an experienced Early Years practitioner who is confident working with children aged 2-3 years and taking responsibility within a Nursery provision.

You'll need:

• A relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification, essential.
• Previous Early Years experience, ideally working with children aged 2-3 years.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS statutory framework.
• A secure understanding of child development within this age group.
• Experience planning and delivering play-based learning.
• Experience creating engaging and inclusive Early Years environments.
• Experience leading, supporting or working collaboratively within an Early Years team.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• A creative and proactive approach.
• The ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• A commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and children's wellbeing.
