ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and confident Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming secondary school in Sutton Coldfield.

You will supervise students during lessons when their usual teacher is unavailable, deliver pre-prepared work and maintain a positive, focused and well-managed learning environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise classes across different subjects and year groups.

  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials.

  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and engagement.

  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.

  • Support students with their learning where appropriate.

  • Complete registers and maintain accurate records.

  • Confident and approachable with strong communication skills.

  • Reliable, organised and adaptable.

  • Positive and professional when working with young people.

  • Confident managing classroom behaviour.

Previous experience in a school or working with young people is desirable, but candidates with relevant transferable experience are encouraged to apply. This role would suit someone considering a career in teaching or education.
