Are you a passionate and enthusiastic Sports Coach looking for your next opportunity within a supportive secondary school environment?
Our recruitment agency is currently seeking a committed Sports Coach to join a successful mainstream secondary school based in Oldbury to deliver PE lessons to KS3 and KS4.
The Role
As a Sports Coach, you will work closely with students across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting their participation and engagement in physical education and extracurricular sporting activities.
Your responsibilities may include:
Supporting the delivery of engaging sports and physical education activities.
Working with students of varying abilities and encouraging participation.
Assisting teachers with PE lessons and practical activities.
Leading or supporting extracurricular clubs, fixtures and sporting events.
Promoting teamwork, discipline, confidence and positive behaviour.
Providing encouragement and motivation to students.
Supporting students who may require additional encouragement or pastoral support.
Maintaining a safe, positive and inclusive sporting environment.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience working with children or young people, ideally within a school or educational setting.
Has a genuine passion for sport and physical activity.
Is confident leading groups of secondary-aged students.
Can build positive relationships with students and staff.
Holds a relevant sports, coaching, education or youth-work qualification (desirable but not essential).
Experience within a secondary school environment is highly desirable, although candidates with strong coaching or youth-work backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
