The Opportunity

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise secondary school classes when the regular teacher is unavailable, ensuring students remain engaged and learning continues.

You will follow pre-prepared lesson plans, communicate instructions clearly and manage classroom behaviour effectively.

The role would suit an experienced Cover Supervisor or Teaching Assiatnt willing to undergo training, who is confident working independently and adapting quickly to different schools, subjects and year groups.

Your Responsibilities

• Supervising secondary classes in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Delivering pre-prepared lesson materials and instructions.
• Managing classroom behaviour firmly, fairly and consistently.
• Maintaining a safe and productive learning environment.
• Monitoring student engagement and ensuring work is completed.
• Supporting students with their learning where appropriate.
• Adapting to different schools, subjects and year groups.
• Following school policies and safeguarding procedures.
