Teaching Assistant - Specialist SEN School

Location: Sheffield | Pay: £95-£120 per day | Role: Teaching Assistant

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Sheffield, supporting young people aged 11-19 with Autism Spectrum Condition, communication and interaction difficulties.

The Role

You will provide 1:1 and small-group support, helping pupils develop communication, independence, emotional regulation and life skills.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience supporting children or young people with autism and/or SEN.

• Is calm, patient, caring and resilient.

• Can build positive relationships with pupils.

• Is confident supporting complex needs.

• Can work effectively as part of a team.

Team Teach training/experience is highly desirable, although equivalent behaviour-support training will be considered.

Pay

£95-£120 per day, depending on experience, skills and training.

Candidates seeking the higher rate should have relevant SEN experience/training, such as Team Teach, and be available full-time. The school will make the final decision on the rate offered.
