This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys inspiring young people, building positive relationships and helping pupils develop their confidence in English Language and Literature.

The school offers the opportunity to make a real difference to pupils' education, supporting them to develop their reading, writing, analytical and communication skills. You'll be joining a secondary setting where engaging lessons, consistent classroom expectations and supporting pupils to reach their potential are key parts of the role.

The Role

• Teaching English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4.

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons that meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities.

• Preparing GCSE pupils for their examinations, helping them build confidence and improve their outcomes.

• Creating a positive classroom environment that encourages participation, progress and a genuine interest in English.

• Working collaboratively with colleagues to support pupil progress and maintain high standards of teaching and learning.

About You

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

• Experience teaching English within a secondary school setting.

• Strong subject knowledge across English Language and Literature.

• Confident classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils.

• A genuine passion for helping young people achieve their potential.
