Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Bexley

Location: Bexley, Welling, Sidcup, Crayford and Erith
Pay: £110-£140 per day, depending on experience and responsibilities
Hours: Typically 8:15am-3:45pm
Contract: Daily Supply / Part-Time / Long-Term

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant ready to take on greater classroom responsibility while maintaining flexibility?

Tradewind Recruitment is looking for confident Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to support primary schools throughout Bexley.

The Role:

• Deliver planned lessons and learning activities under teacher direction.

• Provide short-term classroom cover where appropriate.

• Lead targeted interventions in literacy, numeracy and phonics.

• Support pupils with varying academic and additional needs.

• Work collaboratively with teachers and school leadership teams.

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

• HLTA status or substantial experience leading classroom activities.

• Experience supporting pupils in KS1 or KS2.

• Strong behaviour management and communication skills.

• Confidence delivering pre-planned learning activities independently.
