Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Maths Teacher to join a secondary school in the Warrington area from January until July 2027.

This is a genuine, full-time teaching vacancy offering the opportunity to secure a long-term position for the remainder of the 2026/27 academic year.

The school is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Mathematics Teacher to deliver Key Stage 3 Maths, supporting pupils in developing the mathematical foundations they need for future GCSE study.

With a timetable focused on KS3, this opportunity may particularly appeal to teachers who enjoy developing younger pupils' confidence, numeracy and problem-solving skills.

The Role

The successful Maths Teacher will deliver engaging and appropriately challenging Mathematics lessons to pupils across Years 7-9.

Responsibilities will include:

• Teaching KS3 Mathematics, including number, algebra, geometry, statistics and probability

• Planning lessons that develop mathematical fluency, reasoning and problem-solving

• Supporting pupils in building confidence with essential mathematical concepts

• Identifying misconceptions and adapting teaching accordingly

• Assessing pupil understanding and providing constructive feedback

• Differentiating lessons to meet varying abilities and learning needs

• Maintaining positive classroom behaviour and established routines

• Working collaboratively with colleagues in the Mathematics department

• Supporting pupils' preparation for progression into GCSE Mathematics

This is a full teaching position involving planning, preparation, marking and assessment throughout the assignment.

The Ideal Maths Teacher

We are particularly interested in candidates who:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

• Have strong Mathematics subject knowledge

• Have experience teaching KS3 Maths in a secondary school

• Can explain mathematical concepts clearly and accurately

• Demonstrate effective classroom and behaviour management

• Are confident supporting pupils with different levels of mathematical understanding

• Can plan engaging lessons that develop confidence and independence

• Have high expectations of pupil progress and achievement

• Build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues

• Are available full-time from January until July 2027

About the Opportunity
