We are currently recruiting a reliable and hardworking School Premises Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school based in Tower Hamlets, East London. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous caretaking, facilities or premises experience who is looking for a long-term position, with the potential to secure a permanent role after 18 weeks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Opening and securing the school premises, ensuring the site is safe and accessible.

• Carrying out general maintenance, repairs and basic DIY tasks.

• Ensuring classrooms, corridors and communal areas are clean, tidy and well maintained.

• Completing regular health and safety checks and reporting any hazards.

• Setting up rooms and facilities for school activities and events.

• Monitoring site security and assisting with deliveries and contractors.

• Responding to day-to-day maintenance requests from school staff.

• Supporting the smooth running of the school's premises and facilities.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience working as a School Site Assistant or in a similar facilities role.

• Practical maintenance and DIY skills.

• A good understanding of health and safety procedures.

• Reliable, proactive and able to work independently.

• Strong communication skills and a flexible approach.

• A positive attitude and willingness to support the wider school community.
