Are you a passionate, patient and motivated tutor who wants to make a genuine difference to young people's lives?

We are looking for dedicated tutors in the Withernsea area to support students who are currently outside of mainstream education. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide personalised learning, rebuild confidence and help young people re-engage with education.

Working on a one-to-one basis, you will deliver tailored tuition that meets each student's individual needs, abilities and learning goals. You will help create a positive, supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged, valued and able to succeed.

The role

As a tutor, you will:

• Deliver engaging, personalised tuition tailored to individual learning needs.

• Support students to develop their knowledge, skills and confidence.

• Plan and adapt learning activities to suit different abilities and learning styles.

• Build positive, trusting relationships and encourage students to engage with education.

• Monitor progress, provide feedback and celebrate achievements.

• Work collaboratively with families, schools and other professionals where appropriate.

About you

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a genuine passion for supporting young people and improving educational outcomes.

• Has experience working with children or young people, ideally those with additional needs or who have struggled to access mainstream education.

• Has strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.

• Is patient, understanding, adaptable and able to build positive relationships.

• Can motivate learners and provide a calm, encouraging learning environment.

• Has relevant subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging learning sessions.

Previous tutoring or teaching experience is desirable, although we also welcome applications from individuals with relevant transferable experience and a genuine passion for education.

An enhanced DBS check and satisfactory safeguarding checks will be required.
