The Role

As an Economics Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining high standards of behaviour and classroom management.

  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and contributing to the wider school community where required.

Pay and Progression

Daily Supply: £150 - £170 per day

Our daily supply rates are dependent on qualifications, previous teaching experience, demonstrated teaching ability and the level of responsibility undertaken.

Candidates joining at the £150 daily rate will have opportunities to work towards the higher rate of £170 per day through:

  • Demonstrating consistent, high-quality teaching and classroom management.

  • Building experience through regular assignments and developing familiarity with the school.

  • Taking on additional responsibilities, such as supporting departmental activities or contributing to curriculum development, where appropriate.

  • Demonstrating reliability, flexibility and a strong track record of positive feedback from schools.

  • Progressing into more experienced or specialist teaching responsibilities.

The higher rate will be considered based on experience, performance, responsibilities and the requirements of the assignment. Progression is not automatic and will be discussed with your recruitment consultant.

Long-Term Opportunities: For successful candidates undertaking a qualifying long-term teaching placement, pay will be aligned with the school's Main Teacher Pay Scale (MPS), with the appropriate salary determined by relevant qualifications, experience and the applicable pay arrangements.
