Salary: Up to MPS 6, dependent on experience

The Opportunity

SANZA Teaching Agency is working in partnership with a highly regarded, two-form entry primary school in Redbridge to recruit an experienced KS1 Teacher for a mixed-age Year 1/2 class, starting in January 2027.

The Role

As the KS1 Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, delivering and assessing engaging, high-quality lessons for a mixed-age Year 1/2 class.
  • Creating a stimulating, creative and nurturing classroom environment.
  • Supporting pupils' academic progress and personal development.
  • Working collaboratively with your KS1 colleagues to share planning, resources and best practice.
  • Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, achievement and pupil engagement.

The successful candidate must be available for the full duration of the Spring and Summer terms (January to July 2027).

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a confident and experienced primary teacher who can demonstrate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • A proven track record of teaching within Key Stage 1.
  • Experience teaching Year 1 and/or Year 2.
  • Strong classroom management and the ability to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
  • A warm, approachable manner and a genuine passion for primary education.

Please note: Due to the specific requirements of this placement, Early Career Teachers (ECTs) will not be considered. Previous KS1 teaching experience is essential.
