Role Overview: As a Behavioural Support Assistant, you will be an integral part of the educational support team, working closely with teachers, students, and parents to provide targeted assistance to students with behavioural challenges. Your role will encompass a diverse range of responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with teachers to implement strategies that promote positive behaviour and create an inclusive classroom environment.
  • Providing one-on-one support to students who require additional help in managing their behaviour.
  • Assisting in the development and delivery of individualised behaviour intervention plans.
  • Offering guidance and encouragement to students, helping them build self-esteem and develop essential life skills.
  • Communicating effectively with parents and caregivers to ensure a holistic approach to student support.

Key Qualifications: To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • Previous experience in an educational setting, ideally as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
  • A genuine passion for working with students with behavioural challenges, and a dedication to helping them reach their full potential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, allowing you to build rapport with students and create a supportive learning environment.
  • Empathy, patience, and resilience to effectively manage challenging situations.
  • A commitment to fostering an environment that encourages positive behaviour and personal growth.

Start Date: This exciting role is scheduled to commence in September 2023, offering you the opportunity to make a meaningful impact from the start of the academic year.
