Salary: MPS or UPS Outer London Pay-scale

Start date: April 2024

Tradewind recruitment are delighted to be working alongside this new, forward-thinking, Croydon based school in their hiring of a talented and confident Computing Teacher who will contribute to the further development of students within the Computing department in this inclusive and supportive school based in Croydon. The need to hire is from January 2024.

The school opened in September 2020 with 180 Year 7 pupils and welcomed their second cohort in September 2021 and are already providing children in East Croydon with an excellent academic education, based on their strongly held values. The school seek to transform lives through education. They believe that each of their pupils is born with unique potential for greatness and can take responsibility to achieve this.

Job role

Teach Computing at KS 3 throughout the school in accordance with appropriate syllabus and the National Curriculum Programme of study and in the context of the aims of the school and the needs of students.

Assess, record and report the performance of students at every stage, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary working in conjunction with all concerned parties.

Uphold high standards of preparation, teaching and discipline.

Plan lessons in accordance with schemes of work.

Liaise with relevant colleagues on the work for collaborative delivery.

Track student progress prior levels of attainment and maintain up-to-date records.

Set and mark examinations and other forms of assessment.

Use ICT within the curriculum.

Oversee, contribute and support departmental activity beyond the curriculum.

Establishing high and appropriate expectations for learning, motivation and presentation of work.

Be responsible for helping to develop and manage resources and equipment.

Ensure good practice is followed according to the school's Health and Safety procedures.
