About the School - Design & Technology Teacher
This is a school 3 years into a 5-year development plan in which the aim is to become an Ofsted 'Outstanding' provider of education for students between 11 and 19. Currently graded as 'Good' the school produces results higher than the Counties average at Key Stage 4 including Maths and English, and has been increasing on a yearly basis. The school has good behaviour and students are keen to learn with an underlying respect for their teachers. DT as a subject is popular at both GCSE and A-Level with many specialisms being taught. The department is well resourced with the latest machinery and refurbished classrooms and a technician on hand to support where required. There are 6 full time teachers varying in experience levels led by a talented Head of Department.

This post is suitable for both experienced and newly qualified teachers. The school has a great induction programme for NQT's and the potential for a career progression is excellent for all. The school is looking for a dedicated member of staff who has the full range of skills including class management. The school is always happy to see applications from those that have a DT background from private industry but will consider those who have come straight through the education system but have great subject knowledge.
