English Teacher

Tradewind Preston are delighted to be working with a Secondary SEMH School in Blackburn to recruit an English Teacher to join them in September for a long-term contract.

This SEMH School has high expectations and has the 'every child matters' ethos. The school has experienced significant growth recently and therefore it is important the right teachers are appointed to ensure the success of the school continues. You shall be joining a close knit and well organised School. The school is passionate about sharing new ideas with each other and utilising a variety of different resources to ensure that the students are learning in a challenging and rewarding environment.

You shall be responsible for teaching the subject across KS2, KS3 and KS4 and you will also be required to complete all planning, preparation, delivery of lessons and subsequent marking and assessment of pupil's work. Should this arise you will be required to attend parent's evenings and write reports.

This is a full-time contract, you will be expected to commit to the full length of the contract and fulfil the role of a permanent member of staff, therefore including attendance at parent's evenings and other school functions. This position is to start September 2019.

To be successful in securing this position, you must hold a Qualified Teacher Status and have experience teaching the subject through to KS4, as well as being available to start in September 2019. NQT's and experienced teachers are welcome to apply for this position.

The school is based close to the M6 and M55 with lots of free parking. Additionally, the School is close to public transport links.
