Tradewind are working with an excellent school in Hull who require a teacher of English, on a part time basis. This will be a 0.6 contract, split across four days. No planning and marking will be expected/needed for this position, and for this reason payment for this position will be between £120.00 and £150.00 per day, depending on experience and qualifications. This cover is needed from 10th March, and is expected to continue until Easter, with the strong possibility of it continuing until the May half term break.
This is an excellent school with an ever growing reputation in the area. Student behaviour is good, with strong behaviour policies and procedures in place for teachers to follow. There is a large onsite car park for candidates who drive, which is free to use. The school is also accessible via public transport from most areas of Hull, with bus routes which will allow the successful candidate to arrive on time. The department itself is a strong department, headed by an experienced teacher. With a strong bank of experience within the department, the school would welcome applications from Newly Qualified Teachers for this position.
The role:
- Delivering GCSE English
- Delivering Key Stage 3 English
- Planning lessons in line with the GCSE curriculum
Essential requirements:
A teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent)
Experience working in a secondary school
All work with Tradewind requires a DBS on the update service, and collection of at least two verified references.
