About the school:

The Academy's students make good progress exceeding or equalling national averages. Each year around 95% of the students' progress to university with 64% going to Russell Group universities following a wide range of courses. Strong teamwork is being developed between Sixth-Form teachers across the schools in the trust and this includes the sharing of best practice and resources and joint moderation.
Main duties and responsibilities:
*To prepare and teach appropriate and challenging lessons to both KS3 and KS4 History classes. To ensure high-quality teaching and learning takes place through the delivery of effective lessons and the participation in activities in support of the aims of the school.

*To assess student's work and report on progress as required, notably through the school's unique TRaC™ testing and monitoring system.

*Keep up to date with current developments in the educational field to improve curriculum planning. Working with other subject staff to ensure curriculum integration and to achieve subject and whole college aims and to assist with whole college projects.

*Working with the Director of History to review systematically, change and modify the curriculum as necessary by planning suitable courses for students of all abilities.

You will have:
*A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status
*The ability to teach Key Stage 3 and 4 History
*Experience of sustained delivery of 'outstanding' attainment and achievement
*Experience of innovation and creativity to engage, enthuse and progress learners.

Based in the borough of Lewisham close to Overground stations and local transport.
