Job Title: Special Needs Primary Teacher, Autism Resource Base
Location: Kings Heath, Birmingham
Job Description:
Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Special Needs Primary Teacher to join our team in an Autism Resource Base based in Kings Heath, Birmingham. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing an outstanding education to our KS1 children who have a diagnosis of autism.
Responsibilities:
Provide differentiated teaching and learning to support the needs of children with autism.
Support children in developing their communication, social, emotional and behavioural skills.
Use a range of specialist strategies and resources to support children with autism, such as visual aids, social stories and sensory activities.
Work collaboratively with parents, carers and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for each child.
Maintain accurate records and progress reports to inform ongoing planning and assessment.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience of teaching children with special educational needs, particularly autism.
Ability to use a range of specialist strategies and resources to support children with autism.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with parents, carers and other professionals.
Highly organised with excellent record-keeping and report-writing skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and demonstrate a positive, flexible and proactive attitude.
