Tradewind are recruiting! Are you a teaching assistant or learning support assistant with experience of working with young people who have special needs.
Due to COVID, school are looking for staff who can cover staff isolation's or absences. We are looking for a learning support assistant who can be called into school during the current lock-down. However you will also be first priority for any long term bookings.
School is based in Liverpool close to bus routes. There is also parking on site. The school is a very successful SEND school for children who have complex needs. All children on site are of secondary age. However most are performing at a primary level.

What we are looking for:
-A strong understanding of how children with SEND learn and interact
-Ability to support the student both academically and emotionally in a calm manner, adhere to safeguarding and behavioural policies at all times, and show adherence to professional boundaries.
-Use of Positive behaviour management is necessary but training can be provided
- A collaborative and driven individual who will be able to work closely with the teacher, SENCO and other Education professionals in and out of the school.

* Have Special needs experience. Previous experience of supporting young people with attachment disorders and primary phases is necessary.
* This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
* Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
* You must have the legal right to work in the UK
