Are you an ambitious primary teacher looking for a Year 6 intervention teacher role? Do you want to work in an Outstanding school preparing high achieving Year 6 students for their SATs?

This 3-form entry Outstanding primary school in the Blackheath area of South East London are currently looking for a Year 6 intervention teacher to join the team focusing on preparing small groups of high achieving students for their SATs. The position is full time for 4 weeks after Easter leading up to the SATs. The equivalent annual salary is up to £39,006.

This large Primary school is one of the highest performing schools in Lewisham and England. In 2014 and 2016 they were recognized by the Sunday Times as being one of the top 500 schools in the country. After a recent Ofsted inspection, they have achieved the highest possible grades in all areas and have been rated as an Outstanding school overall. It is, therefore, a popular, oversubscribed school who are continually responding and changing to offer the highest quality of education. As a team, they are committed to offering pupils a broad curriculum and the opportunity to excel academically, in sport and the arts, all within a safe and caring environment. They are recognised as a National Support School by the DfE, supporting and working with other schools. The school is in a prime location in the Blackheath area of Lewisham. It's easily accessible from Central London with a nearby train station and bus links to and from parts of South East London.

The Headteacher is keen to recruit a Year 6 Intervention teacher to join the team after Easter in the 4 weeks leading up to SATs. You will be an additional teacher therefore instead of having your own class, you will support high achieving students in smaller focus groups.

The Year 6 Intervention teacher must:
*Have full QTS (or equivalent teaching qualifications)
*Be experienced teaching children in Year 6
*Have good knowledge and understanding of Key Stage 2 SATs
*Challenge learners and commit to upholding high standards
*Have a positive work ethic and offer support to others
